As far as DWR is concerned, and as long as the Corps agrees, you are authorized to proceed with additional
temporary impacts for the reason stated below.

Based on the current guidance to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Department of Environmental Quality has
adjusted operations to protect the health and safety of the staff and public. Many employees are working remotely or
are on staggered shifts. To accommodate these staffing changes, all DEQ office locations are limiting public access to
appointments only. Please check with the appropriate staff before visiting our offices, as we may be able to handle your
requests by phone or email. We appreciate your patience as we continue to serve the public during this challenging
time.

Importance: High
In May 2018, we modified our 404 and 401 permits to extend the culvert at site 2. This included additional piping, bank
stabilization and temporary impacts. They are in the middle of the installation right now. There has been a lot of
accumulation of materials in the channel. We need to extend our temporary impacts by 28’ feet in order to get the site
to drain. Are you ok with us proceeding? I need to know today if possible. Thanks.
