Hope all are doing well at CE. Please help me get this dock permit approved as we have been working on it for
quite some time. We need to get "in line" for building. I have only the enclosed plat exhibit as to the wetlands
determination which was done by Gene Young at ARM cell(910-6174914) office (910-270-2919). Plat bk
57,Pg 142 Pender County RMC, survey by Stroud Engineering.
We received our first permit to build the existing dock which CAMA issued back in 2014. What we have now
proposed is to construct a second "dock" off of the existing dock in order to minimize any further impact to the
wetland areas on these two lots. The idea was to eliminate another long pier through the wetlands which you,
and we, are concerned with. Both of these lots will not support any type of residence as there is no septic or
practical home site available, the majority of the property being severe wetlands. The only planned use is for
this dual dock which will be built off of one pier, the existing pier. This is the CAMA plan which we submitted.
Please call me if you would like to further review with us, social distancing of course! Perhaps just a phone call
can allay any concerns you might have regarding any further impact on the wetlands and standing water which
adjoin the neighbor you visited (who filled in an extensive area). We are not asking to fill any areas of wetlands,
nor do we plan to capture any wetlands in this new dock. We abide by all CE concerns, and are utilizing only
the upland areas as shown on the recorded plat.
