On July 29, 1994, the Division of Environmental Management received your permit application for the
subject sewer extension. During the course of our review and requests for additional information, the Division
learned that the downstream sewers that this proposed project will connect to, has not been submitted for approval
and therefore has not been permitted to date. This information was confirmed by a letter dated December 14, 1994
from Mr. Marty McKenzie. In accordance with Division policy, this upstream sewer can not be permitted if the
downstream sewer has not been submitted and approved. Therefore, the Division is hereby returning your
application. Upon submittal and approval of the downstream sewers, the subject application package may be re-
submitted for review by the Division.
Please be advised, construction of these sewers without the appropriate permit may subject you to
enforcement actions of up to $10,000 per day per violation, in accordance with North Carolina General Statute
143-215.6. Once the receiving wastewater treatment plant has returned to compliance, you may resubmit this
permit application and permit processing fee for Division review.
