ARE SECURE TO THE VEHICLE. ANY MATERIAL, PARTS OF EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, TRASH OR OTHER DEBRIS THAT FALL FROM THE VEHICLE ONTO THE ACCESS ROADS ARE
CONSIDERED POTENTIAL FOREIGN OBJECT DEBRIS (FOD). ANY FOD DROPPED FROM THE CONTRACTOR VEHICLES ON THE ACCESS ROAD SHALL BE RETRIEVED AND
CLEANED UP IMMEDIATELY AS FOD IS A SERIOUS DANGER TO AIRCRAFT AND CAN CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT.

CONTRACTOR WILL ONLY UTILIZE THE CONTRACTOR STORAGE/STAGING AREAS AS DESIGNATED ON THIS SHEET, FOR MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT STORAGE AND TO PARK
EMPLOYEE VEHICLES.

THE CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONAL SAFETY AND PHASING PLAN (CSPP) ESTABLISHES THE AIRPORT AND PROJECT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS THAT ARE TO BE INCLUDED IN
THE CONTRACTOR'S BID FOR MAINTAINING OPERATIONAL SAFETY AND SECURITY DURING CONSTRUCTION.

THE CSPP WILL BE FOLLOWED BY THE CONTRACTOR THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT DURATION AND CONSISTS OF THESE SHEETS AND THE CONTRACTOR'S SPCD (SEE

BELOW). IF THE CONTRACTOR WANTS TO MAKE A CHANGE TO THE CSPP, THE CHANGE WILL BE APPROVED BY FAA AND THE AIRPORT OWNER PRIOR TO IMPLEMENTATION.

CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE A WRITTEN SAFETY PLAN COMPLIANCE DOCUMENT (SPCD) TO THE ENGINEER FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL 14 CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR TO THE
COMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. THE SPCD WILL BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE PRE -CONSTRUCTION MEETING SO THAT IT CAN BE DISCUSSED DURING THE MEETING
AS AN AGENDA ITEM. CONSTRUCTION CANNOT PROCEED UNTIL THIS PLAN HAS BEEN ACCEPTED BY THE AIRPORT OWNER AND ENGINEER. THE SPCD WILL DEMONSTRATE

HOW THE CONTRACTOR WILL MEET THE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS OF THE CONTRACT AND CSPP, INCLUDING DETAILS ON TOOL BOX SAFETY MEETINGS, TYPES, LOCATIONS,

OR AFFECT IN ANY WAY THEIR FUNCTION DURING THIS PROJECT. NAVAIDS ON THE AIRPORT INCLUDE: REIL, PAPI-4, MALSR,
ROTATING BEACON, NDB, VOR/GPS, GLIDESLOPE, LOCALIZER AND AWOS. CONTRACTOR WILL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER AND
AIRPORT OPERATIONS OF ANY DAMAGE, IMPACT OR ALTERATION OF THESE NAVAIDS OR THEIR FUNCTIONS, CAUSED BY THE
CONTRACTOR. FOLLOWING NOTIFICATION, THE CONTRACTOR WILL, AT THE CONTRACTOR'S COST, IMMEDIATELY CORRECT TO
THE SATISFACTION OF THE ENGINEER AND THE AIRPORT OWNER ANY DAMAGE, IMPACT OR ALTERATION AS PREVIOUSLY NOTED.
2. THE CONTRACTOR MUST COORDINATE WITH THE AIRPORT OWNER AND ENGINEER IN ADVANCE OF ANY WORK WITHIN A NAVAID
CRITICAL AREA. THERE IS NO ANTICIPATED WORK WITHIN ANY OF THE NAVAID CRITICAL AREAS.
3. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCATING, MARKING AND PROTECTING NAVAID CRITICAL AREAS, EXISTING
UNDERGROUND NAVAID AND LIGHTING CABLES PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR WILL CONTACT AIRPORT OWNER
AND ENGINEER IN ADVANCE TO ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME TO LOCATE AND MARK NAVAID CRITICAL AREAS AND EXISTING FIELD
CABLES AND TO AVOID UNSCHEDULED SYSTEM OUTAGES.
4. THE CONTRACTOR WILL MAINTAIN ACCESS TO ALL FAA NAVAID FACILITIES ADJACENT TO THE WORK AT ALL TIMES. ACCESS
REQUIREMENTS MUST BE COORDINATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT TEAM AND AIRPORT OWNER.
CONTRACTOR ACCESS:
1. STOCKPILES WILL NOT PENETRATE THE FAR PART 77 IMAGINARY SURFACES OR PRESENT FOD PROBLEMS. THE CONTRACTOR IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SECURITY OF THEIR MATERIALS. THE STOCKPILE AND STAGING LOCATIONS ARE SHOWN ON THE
CONSTRUCTION SAFETY & PHASING PLAN. ANY APPROVED STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT WILL NOT PRESENT A LINE OF SIGHT
PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE TRAFFIC OR AIRCRAFT.
2. EACH MOTORIZED VEHICLE OPERATING WITHIN THE AOA WILL HAVE A 3-FOOT SQUARE FLAG CONSISTING OF INTERNATIONAL
ORANGE AND WHITE SQUARES IN FULL VIEW ABOVE THE VEHICLE AND/OR A FLASHING YELLOW BEACON. FOR FABRIC COLOR
SPECIFICATIONS, SEE CURRENT FAA ADVISORY CIRCULAR 150/5210-5D, APPENDIX A. EACH VEHICLE WILL HAVE THE
CONTRACTOR'S NAME CLEARLY IDENTIFIED ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE A DAILY LIST,
PRIOR TO START OF WORK, OF THE EXPECTED CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIAL DELIVERY VEHICLES TO THE CONSTRUCTION GATE
GUARD. CONTRACTOR VEHICLES WILL YIELD RIGHT-OF-WAY TO AIRCRAFT AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES. CONTRACTOR WILL
ENSURE THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY CONTRACTOR OR SUBCONTRACTOR OR OTHER VEHICLE ASSOCIATED WITH
THE JOB PASS BENEATH ANY PART OF AN AIRCRAFT OR BLOCK THE ACCESS TO ANY GATE OR DELAY ANY AIRCRAFT MOVEMENT.
VEHICLES WILL REMAIN WITHIN ESTABLISHED HAUL ROUTES. IT IS PROHIBITED TO USE RUNWAYS OR TAXIWAYS OR ADJACENT
FIELD AREAS UNLESS SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZED.
3. ALL INCOMING VEHICLES TO THE AOA ARE SUBJECT TO INSPECTION. IF THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND
SECURITY RAISES THE NATIONAL TERRORISM ADVISORY SYSTEM SECURITY THREAT LEVEL TO "ELEVATED" OR "IMMINENT", OR IF
OTHERWISE REQUIRED AT ANY TIME BY THE AIRPORT OWNER, FAA OR THE TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION,
TRAINED CONTRACTOR -SUPPLIED SECURITY GUARD PERSONNEL, APPROVED AND ACCEPTED BY THE AIRPORT OWNER, WILL
SEARCH ALL VEHICLES ENTERING THE AOA.
4. VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT MAY ONLY ENTER THE AOA THROUGH IDENTIFIED ACCESS GATES. CONTRACTOR'S SUPERVISOR(S)
AND PERSONNEL, OPERATING VEHICLES OR EQUIPMENT, WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE AIRPORT'S
SAFETY AND SECURITY TRAINING COURSE AND DRIVER'S TRAINING PROGRAM BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO DRIVE WITHIN THE
ACTIVE AOA. TIME AND EXPENSES FOR SAFETY, SECURITY AND DRIVING CLASSES WILL BE AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
5. CONTRACTOR WILL MAINTAIN AIRFIELD SECURITY AND GATE SECURITY AT ALL TIMES. NO ACCESS GATES WILL REMAIN OPEN
WITHOUT CONTRACTOR PROVIDED GATE GUARD.
6. ESCORTS ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO MONITOR TWO VEHICLES AT A TIME, UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY AIRPORT OWNER.
7. THE CONTRACTOR STAGING AREA, AS DEPICTED ON THE CONTRACT DRAWINGS, WILL BE USED TO STORE ALL IDLE EQUIPMENT,
SUPPLIES AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS. STORAGE WILL NOT INTERFERE WITH OPERATIONAL AREAS. WHEN NOT IN USE
DURING WORKING HOURS, AND AT ALL OTHER TIMES, ALL MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT WILL BE STORED AT THE STORAGE SITE
INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS UNLESS PRIOR APPROVAL IS PROVIDED BY THE AIRPORT OWNER. NO MATERIALS MAY BE STORED
ON THE AOA UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY THE AIRPORT OWNER.
8. SPEED LIMIT ON HAUL ROUTES AND ACTIVE APRONS IS 10 MPH UNLESS OTHERWISE POSTED.
9. THE CONTRACTOR'S EQUIPMENT, VEHICLES AND MATERIALS ARE STRICTLY RESTRICTED TO THE STORAGE/STAGING AREAS
DURING NON -WORKING HOURS UNLESS OTHERWISE APPROVED BY THE AIRPORT OWNER.
WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT:
1. THE CONTRACTOR WILL OBSERVE STRICT ADHERENCE TO SITE CLEANLINESS. THE CONTRACTOR WILL MAINTAIN A CLEAN
WORKSITE, CLEAR OF EXCESS DEBRIS AND TRASH, FOOD GARBAGE OR OTHER NUISANCE ATTRACTANTS. TRASH IS CONSIDERED
A HAZARD IN THAT IT MAY BECOME WINDBLOWN AND BECOME FOREIGN OBJECT DEBRIS (FOD); OR IT MAY ATTRACT UNWANTED
WILDLIFE WHICH MAY PRESENT SERIOUS HAZARDS TO AIRCRAFT IN THE AOA.
2. DURING CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR WILL ENSURE THAT THERE IS NO STANDING WATER WITHIN THE WORK SITE AND
WITHIN THE STAGING AREAS.
3. THE AIRPORT IS REGULARLY MAINTAINED FOR VEGETATION (MOWING, WEED REMOVAL, ETC.). THESE MAINTENANCE ITEMS ARE
REGULARLY SCHEDULED AND THE AIRPORT WILL CONTINUE THEM INDEFINITELY. ANY AREA THAT HAS BECOME DISTURBED BY
THE CONTRACTOR WILL BECOME THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR UNTIL VEGETATION HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED AND
ACCEPTED. ONLY THE SEED INDICATED IN THE PROJECT DOCUMENTS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR USE IN AND AROUND THE AIRPORT
THE MAINTENANCE OF THE TURF AREAS WILL BE COORDINATED WITH THE ENGINEER AND AIRPORT OWNER AT THE PROGRESS
MEETINGS.
4. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO MAINTAIN IN GOOD WORKING ORDER ANY GATE USED FOR SITE ACCESS.
ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO STRICTLY FOLLOW AIRPORT SECURITY PROTOCOLS FOR KEEPING THE
AIRFIELD SECURE AT ALL TIMES AS WELL AS FOR ENTERING/EXITING THE AOA.
5. NO KNOWN HABITAT DISRUPTION SHOULD OCCUR AND NO KNOWN ISSUES ARE ANTICIPATED.
FOREIGN OBJECT DEBRIS (FOD) MANAGEMENT:

1. ANY FOD ON THE ACTIVE AOA SURFACES OR PUBLIC ROADWAYS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CLEANED BY THE CONTRACTOR TO THE
SATISFACTION OF THE AIRPORT OWNER AND ENGINEER. THE CONTRACTOR WILL UTILIZE WHATEVER EQUIPMENT IS NECESSARY
TO KEEP THESE ROUTES FREE AND CLEAR OF DUST, DEBRIS, MUD, ETC. THE CONTRACTOR WILL MAINTAIN ON -SITE A FULL
WATER TRUCK FOR WETTING DOWN DUST -BLOWN PRONE AREAS AT ALL TIMES. ALL EQUIPMENT AND LABOR NECESSARY TO
MAINTAIN A CLEAN ROUTE WILL BE CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO THE CONTRACT. FAILURE TO KEEP THE ACTIVE AOA SURFACES

HAZARDOUS MATERIAL MANAGEMENT:
1. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A SAFETY AND HEALTH PLAN, WHICH DETAILS HOW THEIR COMPANY MANAGES
2. IF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ARE ENCOUNTERED ON THE SITE WHICH ARE IMPACTED BY THE WORK, THE CONTRACTOR MUST
NOTIFY THE AIRPORT OWNER AND THE ENGINEER IMMEDIATELY OF THEIR PRESENCE.
NOTIFICATION OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES:
1. THE NOTICE TO PROCEED WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL THE CONTRACTOR HAS SUBMITTED TO THE ENGINEER FOR APPROVAL, AND
WHICH HAS BEEN APPROVED IN WRITING, THE FOLLOWING ITEMS: A SPCD, A SCHEDULE WITH CRITICAL PATH IDENTIFIED,
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION (SUPERVISOR, FOREMAN, PROJECT MANAGER), AND SCHEDULE OF VALUES FOR LUMP SUM
WORK ITEMS.
2. THE AIRPORT OWNER WILL GENERATE AND MAINTAIN "NOTICE TO AIRMEN" (NOTAMS) PRIOR TO CLOSURES AS
REQUIRED. CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE NOTICE TO THE AIRPORT OWNER AND HANGAR TENANTS A MINIMUM OF TEN (10) DAYS
PRIOR TO ANTICIPATED ACTIVITY THAT REQUIRES A NOTAM TO BE ISSUED.
3. IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY, THE CONTRACTOR WILL CALL THE AIRPORT OWNER IMMEDIATELY. THE AIRPORT OWNER WILL
COORDINATE EMERGENCY RESPONSE.
4. THE CONTRACTOR WILL IDENTIFY A QUALIFIED, DEDICATED SAFETY AND SECURITY POINT OF CONTACT THAT IS APPROVED BY
THE AIRPORT OWNER.
5. THE CONTRACTOR WILL PRODUCE AN EMERGENCY CONTACT LIST WITHIN SEVEN (7) DAYS FOLLOWING THE PRE -CONSTRUCTION
MEETING. AT A MINIMUM, THE FOLLOWING EMERGENCY CONTACTS FOR THE AIRPORT WILL BE INCLUDED ON THE CONTACT LIST:

6. MAXIMUM HEIGHT OF CONTRACTOR'S VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT WITHIN THE AOA SHALL BE 15-FT ABOVE THE GROUND SURFACE.
IF THE CONTRACTOR CHOOSES TO USE EQUIPMENT IN EXCESS OF THIS HEIGHT, THEY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUBMITTING A
REVISION TO THE AIRSPACE ANALYSIS (FAA FORM 7460-1). THE CONTRACTOR IS ADVISED THAT THE FAA REVIEW MAY TAKE UP TO
60 DAYS FROM TIME OF SUBMITTAL. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS AND TIME DELAYS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE 7460-1 APPLICATION.
7. AN INCURSION WITH AN AIRCRAFT IS A SERIOUS SAFETY INFRINGEMENT AND IS A FEDERAL VIOLATION THAT WILL SUBJECT THE
CONTRACTOR TO THE MAXIMUM FINE ALLOWED BY FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION.
INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS:
1. THE CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE UNENCUMBERED ACCESS TO THE FAA, AIRPORT OWNER, AND THE ENGINEER OF THE WORK
AREAS AT ALL TIMES.
2. THE CONTRACTOR WILL IDENTIFY, IN WRITING TO THE AIRPORT OWNER AND ENGINEER, THE INDIVIDUALS RESPONSIBLE FOR
CONDUCTING INSPECTIONS PRIOR TO THE INSPECTION TAKING PLACE.
3. THE CONTRACTOR WILL COMPLETE A DAILY INSPECTION OF THE WORK SITE FOR SAFETY BY COMPLETING THE FAA CHECKLIST IN
AC 150/5370-2G, APPENDIX D. THE CONTRACTOR WILL INCLUDE SUFFICIENT TIME WITHIN THE ALLOWABLE CLOSURE
REQUIREMENTS TO ACCOMMODATE INSPECTIONS AND ACCEPTANCE OF WORK BY THE AIRPORT OWNER, FAA AND ENGINEER.
4. FINAL INSPECTIONS: ANY DAMAGE ALONG THE HAUL ROUTES, DUE TO THE CONTRACTOR'S VEHICLES OR EQUIPMENT, WILL BE
REPAIRED BY THE CONTRACTOR PRIOR TO THE COMPLETION OF THE PHASE FOR WHICH THE ROUTE IS USED.
UNDERGROUND UTILITIES AND EXISTING PAVEMENTS:
1. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROTECTION OF EXISTING PAVEMENTS, TURFED AREAS, UNDERGROUND
PIPES AND UTILITIES, AND ALL OTHER EXISTING FEATURES UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THESE PLANS. THE CONTRACTOR
WILL REPAIR TO ORIGINAL CONDITIONS ALL FEATURES INCLUDING EXISTING PAVEMENTS AND TURFED AREAS DISTURBED BY
THEIR ACTIVITIES TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE AIRPORT OWNER AND ENGINEER. THIS REPAIR WILL BE CONSIDERED
INCIDENTAL TO THE WORK AND NO ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION SHALL BE MADE FOR IT.
PENALTIES:
1. IN THE EVENT AN EMPLOYEE OF THE CONTRACTOR VIOLATES A SAFETY PROVISION, THEY WILL BE PROHIBITED FROM RETURNING
TO WORK ON THE AOA WITHOUT REMEDIAL SAFETY TRAINING AND THE APPROVAL OF THE AIRPORT OWNER. VIOLATIONS MAY BE
DEEMED AS JUST AND SUFFICIENT CAUSE TO REQUIRE THE EMPLOYEE BE PERMANENTLY REMOVED FROM THE JOB SITE. FOR
THE CONTRACTOR'S VIOLATION OF THE SECURITY IDENTIFICATION DISPLAY AREA (SIDA), THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PENALTIES ISSUED BY THE TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (TSA).
2. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS AND DELAYS CAUSED BY SAFETY VIOLATIONS. CONSTRUCTION
PERSONNEL DRIVING ERRATICALLY ON THE AIRPORT OWNER, EXCEEDING THE 10-MPH SPEED LIMIT, OR VIOLATING ANY OTHER
AIRPORT DRIVING RULE OR SAFETY REGULATION, AT A MINIMUM, WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROJECT PERMANENTLY.
AIRPORT OPERATIONS CAN REMOVE ANY CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL, AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY DURATION, DUE TO A SAFETY
VIOLATION. AIRPORT OPERATIONS SHALL REPORT ANY OCCURRENCES TO THE CONTRACTOR AND THE AIRPORT OWNER.
3. NON-COMPLIANCE BY THE CONTRACTOR WITH AIRPORT RULES AND REGULATIONS OR FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE APPROVED
CSPP AND SPCD, AIRPORT SECURITY REGULATIONS, VEHICLE SPEED RESTRICTIONS AND ANY OTHER APPLICABLE AIRPORT
REGULATION MAY RESULT IN FINES AS ALLOWED BY LAW AS WELL AS THE REMOVAL OF THE CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL FROM
THE WORK SITE.
4. REFER TO SECTION 80-08 OF THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS (GENERAL PROVISIONS) FOR DETAILED LIQUIDATED DAMAGES AND
REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED THEREWITH.
1. EMERGENCY SITUATIONS: SHOULD A LIFE -THREATENING INJURY OCCUR ON SITE, WHETHER IT BE TO THE CONTRACTOR'S
WORKFORCE OR THE AIRPORT'S INSPECTION CREW OR OTHERS, THE AIRPORT OWNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED, AND
THEY WILL NOTIFY THE APPROPRIATE AIRPORT DEPARTMENTS. THE CONTRACTOR WILL FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS BY THE
AIRPORT OWNER, AIRPORT OPERATIONS AND AIRPORT/FAA OFFICIALS OR THEIR DESIGNEES.
2. THE CONTRACTOR WILL YIELD TO ALL SAFETY PERSONNEL. IN THE EVEN OF A WORK STOPPAGE DUE TO AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY,
THE CONTRACTOR WILL, IF POSSIBLE, MAKE SAFE THE CONSTRUCTION SITE AND VACATE THE AREA UNDER ESCORT.
3. THE CONTRACTOR WILL TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SAFETY OF PERSONNEL THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION SITE
AND FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE PROJECT. IN PARTICULAR, THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE AWARE OF AIRCRAFT ACTIVITY ON
THE AIRPORT AND FULL BECOME ACQUAINTED WITH THE DANGERS OF JET BLAST AND ITS EFFECT ON WORK IN ADJACENT
AREAS, ESPECIALLY IN NON -MOVEMENT AREAS. MATERIALS CAPABLE OF BEING DISPLACED WILL NOT BE STOCKPILED OR
STORED WITHOUT BEING SECURED IN WORK AREAS ADJACENT TO ACTIVE AIRCRAFT OPERATIONAL AREAS.
RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY VISUAL AIDS:
1. CLOSURES WILL BE NOTED WITH THE USE OF LOW -PROFILE BARRICADES AT TAXIWAY E AND ALONG THE T-HANGAR TAXILANES
AFFECTED BY ASPHALT REPLACEMENT. BARRICADES WILL BE SECURED TO PREVENT MOVEMENT FROM JET BLAST. THE AIRPORT
OWNER WILL PROVIDE NOTAMS FOR CLOSURES AND THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE, PLACE AND MAINTAIN
TEMPORARY BARRICADES AT CLEARLY VISIBLE LOCATIONS TO KEEP PILOTS FROM ERRANTLY TAXIING DOWN A CLOSED TAXIWAY.
LOW PROFILE BARRICADES ARE TO BE PLACED AT THE TSA BOUNDARY, OUTSIDE THE SAFETY AREAS.
MARKINGS AND SIGNS FOR ACCESS ROADS:
1. CONTRACTOR MUST CLEARLY MARK ALL ACCESS AND HAUL ROUTES AND INSTALL SIGNAGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT
FAA AC 150/5345-44K "SPECIFICATION FOR RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY SIGNS", AC 150/5340-18F AND THE MANUAL OF UNIFORM
TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES (MUTCD) AND AS APPROVED BY THE AIRPORT OWNER.
HAZARD MARKING AND LIGHTING:
1. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING IN -KIND ANY MARKINGS DESTROYED, OBLITERATED, OR OTHERWISE
RENDERED UNUSABLE BY CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES. CONTRACTOR WILL ENSURE CONTINUITY OF SERVICE FOR LIGHTING
SYSTEMS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROJECT.

1. LIGHTING EQUIPMENT MUST ADEQUATELY ILLUMINATE THE WORK AREA IF CONSTRUCTION IS TO BE PERFORMED DURING
NIGHTTIME HOURS. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ALL SUPPORT EQUIPMENT, EXCEPT HAUL TRUCKS, BE EQUIPPED WITH ARTIFICIAL
ILLUMINATION TO SAFELY ILLUMINATE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY SURROUNDING THEIR WORK AREAS.

2.5. PLACE FULL DEPTH LIGHT DUTY ASPHALT AFTER INSTALLATION OF PIPES AND CATCH BASINS IS COMPLETE.
2.6. AFTER PLACEMENT OF ASPHALT, LEAVE A 1.5" DROP OFF THE EDGE OF PAVEMENT AND GRADE EXISTING GROUND.
3. PLACEMENT OF BARRICADES WILL BE APPROVED BY AIRPORT OWNER AND/OR ENGINEER. CONTRACTOR WILL PROVIDE AMPLE MATERIALS,
EQUIPMENT AND PERSONNEL TO FURNISH, PLACE, MAINTAIN, AND MODIFY BARRICADE LOCATIONS AS DIRECTED. PLACE BARRICADES, JUST OUTSIDE THE
TSA, SUCH THAT THEY ARE CLOSEST TO NEAREST OPEN INTERSECTIONS WHERE NECESSARY.
4. CONTRACTOR TO ACCESS THE PHASE 3 WORK AREA VIA THE IDENTIFIED ACCESS GATE. THE CONTRACTOR WILL HAVE AT LEAST ONE WORKING VACUUM
TRUCK AND/OR MOTORIZED BROOM ON -SITE DURING ALL WORKING HOURS TO CLEAN THE ROAD FROM ANY MUD, ROCKS, DEBRIS TRACKED ONTO ITS
SURFACE FROM CONTRACTOR HAUL ROUTE. PAVEMENT SURFACES SHALL BE INSPECTED FOR FOD PRIOR TO REOPENING TO TRAFFIC.
5. A CLEAN HAUL ROUTE WILL BE CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO THE CONTRACT AND NO ADDITIONAL PAYMENT WILL BE MADE FOR THIS EFFORT.
