No sludge is produced from the treatment of wastewater. The facility does produce sludge at the main liftstation. The liftstation pumps process and wastewater to the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority/ City of Wilmington POTW. Sludge from this process is removed as needed at annual shutdown. A TCLP analysis is performed on the sludge prior to pumpout. Material is then sent to McGill Environmental for the purpose of composting.
