Instream monitoring was never suspended in BIMS. So, the instream monitoring is already in place: DO, Salinity, and Conductivity. Since instream DMR data isn't entered into BIMS, the lack of it didn't trigger any violations. -----Original Message ----- From: Belnick, Tom Sent: Wednesday, June 03, 2015 9:57 AM To: Weaver, Charles Subject: FW: Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc. - NC0003395 Charles- oops- forgot to copy you on my original email. We're pretty sure that they've been conducting their required instream monitoring the entire time that they've been a member anyhow, but if you guys could send something to them in writing to let them know that we're aware that they're no longer a member and they're required to conduct their own monitoring as of June/July X, 2015, that would be great. I'm waiting to hear back from the LCFRP on the date that their paid -up through. Will let you know. This expired permit did not contain LCFRP waiver language, but included instream monitoring for DO, salinity, conductivity. Our permit file does contain waiver letter dated 7/1/2011 with instream monitoring reinstatement provision. The permit renewal was originally assigned to Jim McKay, but shifted to Sergei after Jim retired in 2014. Sergei- based on this info, do not include any LCFRP instream waiver footnote in future permit. Charles- I discussed earlier, can you toggle on instream monitoring requirements in BIMS, Outfall 002. Thanks. Let me know if any hiccups, since I'm not sure if it's as straight -forward as this email suggests. (NC0003395) has decided to discontinue their membership with the Lower Cape Fear River Program (see email below). As such, we will need to reinstate their instream NPDES permit requirements. Not sure what their permit says regarding their membership and the waiver of instream sampling, but we usually prepare and send a letter for everyone's files to close-out their membership.
