Thanks for the quick response. So, if I understand correctly, only 2.98 acres of land will actually be disturbed? The
remaining 4.68 acres will have activity (new overlay), but should not be a source of erosion or sedimentation? Please
confirm. Thx.

Based on the current guidance to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Department of Environmental Quality has
adjusted operations to protect the health and safety of the staff and public. Many employees are working remotely or
are on staggered shifts. To accommodate these staffing changes, all DEQ office locations are limiting public access to
appointments only. Please check with the appropriate staff before visiting our offices, as we may be able to handle your
requests by phone or email. We appreciate your patience as we continue to serve the public during this challenging
time.

This is a road widening project and the 7.66 acres covers the entire work area which includes the existing roadway which
is just receiving a new overlay. The areas along the side of the road that we are grading and installing new storm piping
are roughly 2.98 acres. If this needs to be changed to the 7.66 acres we can do that. This is only the second time I have
gone thru the eNOI process so if I have filled this out incorrectly please let me know and I will get it adjusted.
Thank you,
Ryan

Mr. Derrick (Ryan),
Hi. Could you please explain why Part A — No. 12 — Acres to be disturbed = 2.98, but Part D — No. 5 — E&SC Plan Approval
letter or Grading permit — uploaded approval = 7.66 acres. Is this project only disturbing a portion of what was
approved? Did the project change after the E&SC approval was issued?
This explanation can be included with the permit application/Certificate of Coverage. Thx.
