This site is currently undeveloped. The site is being developed as a single-family
residential comunity. The entirety of the site drains to lowland swamp areas, there are
two main draws that the development drains to. One is on the south side of the project
and the other is on the project perimeter along the northern boundary.
The site meets the qualifications of a low density development. The average density for
the development is 1.25 units/acre compared to the maximum of 2 units/acre to satisfy
the requirements set forth by NCDEQ. New roads and utilities are being extended
through the project to serve the lots. The road grading will generally follow the existing
topography and therefore maintain existing drainage patterns.
Based on our study and review of the NCDEQ BMP manual and NC Session Law 2006-
246 Section 9 paragraph c, Liberty Meadows Subdivision meets and/or exceeds the
requirements and intent for low density development.
