Dear Mr. Ridings,
The Town of Rolesville is constructing a multiuse path along East Young Street from the intersection of Louisburg
Road to Century Farm Road. This multiuse path used to be a part of a larger project that was permitted with a
401 Water Quality Certification NCDWR Project No. 20190514 14 East Young Street Sidewalk on May 6, 2019. The
original impact was 0.08 ac total (0.03 ac permanent fill and 0.05 ac mechanized clearing). The project that was
originally going to impact that portion of wetlands is no longer being constructed by Town. The original path
alignment has been modified as shown on the attached drawing. A portion of wetlands that originally wasn't
being impacted in the original contract drawings will now be impacted with the revised alignment. The new
impacts will result in a total of 421 sf (0.01 ac) of wetland impacts (182 sf of permanent impact by fill and 239 sf of
temporary impact for mechanized clearing and erosion control). This impact is less than the original impacts
previously permitted. I'm attaching the original permit drawings as well as a new impact drawing for your
reference. Please let me know if anything else is needed to modify this permit.
Sincerely,
Rana Stansell, PE, CFM
