I would like to say first of all that I would very much like to know what company is building a factory on the
land next to the river. Biltmore Farms has always stated that it has a commitment to protecting the environment
that we all love in WNC. So I sincerely hope that this company will be building and manufacturing in a manner
that is consistent with those values and protects the French Broad River.
Secondly, while I don't love the idea of construction of a second bridge over the river, I would be amenable to it
if there is a bike/pedestrian lane, public access allowed across the property, and a bike path/greenway built to
connect 191 to Schenck Parkway in Biltmore Park.
What I do not want is for no bridge to be built and instead 1,200 factory employees have to access the factory
off Schenck Parkway. Biltmore Park Town Square cannot handle this much traffic.
