Intent to Issue Permit to Impact Isolated Wetlands
Seascape Development, Phase II.- Brunswick County
The N.C. Division of Water Quality intends to issue permit approval to the
following projects according to procedures outlined in 15A NCAC214.1301
through .1305 (Discharges to isolated wetlands and isolated watersy. "
These projects are described below.
1. SEASCAPE DEVELOPMENT, PHASE 11- BRUNSWICK COUNTY
On July 3, 2001, the N.C. Division of Water Quality received notification
of intent to fill an application to fill 1'.21 acres of isolated wetlands at
Seascape Subdivision Phase 11 at the end of Stone Chimney/Stanley Road
off of SR 1119 between Holden Beach and Vamumtown in Brunswick
County. The application was submitted for Coastal Communities, Inc., c%
Sean Scanlon, 131 Ocean Blvd. West, Holden each, N.C. The applicant
proposesto provide compensatory mitigationata2:1 ratiothroughtheN:C.
Wetland Restoration Program for the unavoidable loss of these wetlands.
The Division proposes to issue this permit on or after November 26, 2001.
Additional information regarding this project is available for review by the
public at the address described below during normal business ours. The
public is hereby invited to submit written comments regarding this project
to N.C. Division of Water Quality, Wetlands/401 Unit, 2321 Crabtree Blvd.,.
