hereby notified thal the Sedimenlation and Erosion Control Office has the tight to inspect the
silo aver they life ofthe prcyect to insure compliance with the approved plan and ordinance.
The Sedimentation and Erosion Control Program is performance oriented, requiring
protection of -the natural resources and adjoining properties. if following the: commencement
of this project it is determined that the sedimentation and erosion control plan is inadequate
to meet the requirements of the Durham City -County Unified Development Ordinance, this
office may require revisions in the plan and its implementation to ensure compliance with the
Ordinance.
Pursuant to Section 12.1t1.h of dieLhirliam City_county Unified Ilevelopment Ordinance,
prior to intuiting land-disturhing activity. the person conducting swch ac:tividv must nolify the
sedimentation and erosion control office (#*the date that such activity will begin.

As of April 1., 2019, all new construction activities arc required to complete and submit an
electronic Notice: of Intent (NOl) form requesting a (c rtif cate of Coverage (GOC) under the
NCGO1(l X)O Construction Stormwater General l`'cnnik This tonm MUST be submitted prior
to the commencement of any land disturbing activity on the above -named project. The NOl
form may be accessed at dt ,.pc. I N!C, 1. Please direct questions about the NOT firm to

you submit a complete and correct NOT Form, a COC will be a maile d to you within three
business days. There is a $100 annual fox; for coverage. This fox; is to be sent to the DEMI.R
Stormwater Central Office: staff in Raleigh.
Title 1 SA NCAC 4B .01 1S(a) and the NCGOl permit require that the following
documentation be kept on file at the job site:
1. 'The approved f:&SC plan as well as any approved deviation.
2. The NC(H) T permit and the COC, once it is received.
3. Reno>rds of inspections made during the previous 30 days.
It should also he noted that approval of an erosion control plan does not in any way
indicate approval of, or authorization to begin installation of Storrnwater infrastructure
without City/County approved Construction Drawings.

3. Submit: a permit fee: made payable to Durham County in the amount of
$25,704.00.
4. A surety in the amount of$128,520.00.
