Hey Dave,
Sorry for the delay on this one – sediment lost on R-2603, Wilkes County. This loss also occurred during the storm the
evening of 4-12-20 / early morning of 4-13-20. Our crew reported retrieving 8 buckets of sediment from a tributary of
Mulberry Creek at Station 48+00 Rt. We also lost part of the bank at the bridge over Mulberry creek at Station 117,
Permit site 13. The sediment was washed downstream during the storm, so our crews could not retrieve it, but sounds
like around a cubic yard of sediment was lost. I’m visiting the site tomorrow to try and determine how to best stabilize
and will let you know if it looks like we lost more than that.
Thanks,
Kevin
