Inspection Summary:
Mikal Willmer, with the Asheville Regional Office, conducted a review of the City of Hendersonville's 2019 DCAR annual
report on April 17, 2020. This review was conducted to determine whether the facility processed and monitored all residuals
in compliance with Permit No. WQ0011381.
The facility appeared to be operating in compliance with all requirements of their DCAR permit. The City reported "no
distribution" for 2019 and has not distributed since 1998 due to nuisance issues using lime in a populated area.
Approximately 581.6 dry tons of residuals were disposed of in the Haywood County Landfill located at 3898 Fines Creek Rd.
Waynesville. The City is currently exploring alternative Class A options and other disposal means. Until a decision is made,
the City will continue to dispose of all residuals in an approved landfill.
