The Raleigh -Durham Airport Authority (Authority) respectfully submits an original and one
copy of the calendar year 2018 (CY2018) Annual Report, in accordance with NPDES Permit No.
NCS000588 (Permit).
The current NPDES Permit, referenced above, for the Raleigh -Durham International Airport
(RDU) is dated May 12, 2017. With the receipt of this Permit, stormwater sampling was reduced
to once per pennit cycle for all stormwater locations. Therefore no stormwater samples were
collected during CY2018.
Enclosed please find the visual monitoring reports, the total glycol usage data, and pavement
deicing data for CY2018. This report was also emailed to Robert Patterson at DEMLR.

cloudy, covered with Floating solids, extremely muddy.
2 SDO 002 visually monitored at sampling location per NCDENR DWQ approval on 5/15/2013.
3 Outfall 008 no longer monitored after Spring 2017. Historical results show the same for last 10 years (no Flow, trash) & drainage area slated
to become all vegetation.
" Outfall 035 added in Fall 2017 due to anticipated growth in the drainage basin.

2. Numbers reported are in gallons and only for amount of glycol used.
3. Type IV glycol used for anti -icing is reported in gallons and at 100% (no water added).
4. As of June of 2012, urea is no longer allowed to be used on RDUAA property.
5. Ethylene glycol was banned from the airport in 2006. All product had to be utilizied by 2007.
6. Permit NCS000588 became effective 5/12/17. Previously Permit NC00084514 was in effect.

copy of the calendar year 2018 (CY2018) Annual Report, in accordance with NPDES Permit No.
NCS000588 (Permit).
The current NPDES Permit, referenced above, for the Raleigh=Durham International Airport
