Dear Mr. Gutshall:
Reference is made to your request for rescission of the subject NPDES General Stormwater
Permit. Staff of the Raleigh Regional Office have confirmed that the facility has been abandoned
and this Stormwater Permit is no longer required. Therefore, in accordance with your request,
NPDES General Permit No. NCG040048 is rescinded, effective immediately.
If in the future you wish to again have a NPDES General Stormwater Permit to discharge
stormwater to the State's surface waters, you must first apply for and receive a new NPDES
Permit. Discharging without a valid NPDES Permit will subject the discharger to a civil penalty
of up to $ 10,000 per day.
