Notification of Stormwater Turbidity Exceedance and Tier II Response
To whom it may concern:
Please find enclosed one original signed stormwater discharge monitoring report (DMR) containing total
suspended solids and turbidity exceedances. The stormwater sample was taken on December 13, 2019.
Martin Marietta received the sample results, containing the total suspended solids and turbidity
exceedances, on December 20, 2019. The results triggered a Tier II response for turbidity and total
suspended solids, as the sample was the first valid sample result of the period and the previous period's
sample results were below the total suspended solids and turbidity benchmark. Due to field turbidity
results, regional environmental staff performed a site review at the time of sampling, to identify and
evaluate possible causes of the exceedance. Implementation of actions identified during the evaluation
will be completed as required by the general permit.
