Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Sue, I am attaching the VY quarter stream data from the USGS gage sites as our daily record. Note that only the upstream gage has been completed for flow, while the downstream is still only available as a feet of depth measurement. Recent communication with USGS concerning calibration activities are as follows: "Daniel, Good to hear from you. We are having some difficulty with the high -end of the ratings at these gages. Due to the small, flashy nature of these streams the water comes and goes very quickly. We have been on site at the downstream gage while it was up but we could not safely make discharge measurements. That experience did give us some ideas to have something in place for the next high water. We have made a total of 34 discharge measurements at these two sites from 02106119-02106120. For the upstream gage, data are approved through 0112912020. These data include some estimated data when the stage went above the rating. 1 remember us discussing this potential on the phone. 1 will have our database manager make the flow data available on our NWIS page. For the downstream site we are still trying to figure out a way to approve data until we get additional high flow measurements. If needed 1 can provide some provisional low flow data. 1 apologize for not having this ready. Feel free to document these issues in your report and list me as a contact if needed. As always, you can contact me with any questions. Bill Hazell" WFHazell@USGS.gov I continue working with Bill and the USGS to get the flow data measurements downstream finalized. I believe they should be in place soon. Thank you, Daniel Davis Utilities Superintendent 510 Beech Mountain Pkwy.
