Inspection Summary:
This is an AR review. A site visit was not performed as part of this review.
The data presented in the AR indicates no VOCs are present in the sludge. The Lab data also indicates the Metals and
TCLP values are within the limits of the permit.
Fecal Reduction appears to be within permit limits.
However, SAR and PAN values were able to be verified.
The increased production of the local industry caused a higher generation of sludge to be produced. No sludge disposal
records have been presented in the AR for final disposal of the sludge that was not able to be land applied.
A total of 40,000 gallons of sludge was disposed of in a Landfill in Charlotte.

The data presented in the AR, indicates the TCLP and metals loading rates are within permit
limits. The application field does not appear to be approaching MCL for any metals. The
laboratory data also indicates no VOCs were detected in the residual material.
The permit application field required 0.5 Tons of lime to be applied to adjust the soil pH.
Pathogen and Vector Attraction Yes No NA NE

solids. Reduction using Alt. 3 30 Day bench to prove adequate reduction of fecal coliform as
occured at 13.3% reduction.
Sampling Yes No NA NE
Describe sampling:
Fecal Coliform sampling was performed by the collection of 7 grab samples and analyzed bt method 9221
ce-2006.
Is sampling adequate? ❑ ❑ ❑
Is sampling representative? 0 ❑ ❑ ❑
Comment: The collection of seven grab samples provides adequate representation of the residual sludge.
