Approach: Two 11' lanes, variable shoulders Bridge: Two 13.5'-14.5' lanes, variable shoulders Approach: 12'-13' lanes, variable shoulders Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 9800 Year: 2025 Existing: 4900 Year: 2014 General Project Narrative: (Description of Minimization of Water Quality Impacts) The existing 91', 3 span bridge over Adams Creek on SR 1006 (Mt. Pleasant Rd. S.) is being replaced with a 2 span bridge with a span arrangement of 1 @70' (24" cored slab) and 1 @50' (21" cored slab). The bridge will have 1.5:1 sloping abutments. The bridge will be superelevated at 4% to the left with 11' travel lanes, and have a 56" left shoulder and 3'6" right shoulder, 30'10" clear width and 33' OTO width. The existing bridge structure will be removed. Overall drainage patterns will be maintained. There will be roadside ditches that flow towards both sides of the bridge on both sides of the roadway. On the end side of the bridge, a traffic bearing grated drop inlet with double frame and grates (2G1) is placed on the left side of the roadway in the shoulder berm gutter to pick up runoff from the bridge. Class -II riprap abutment protection on both banks of the stream is also proposed to prevent future erosion and stream migration. Deck drains are not required. Impervious dikes will be used to prevent sediment from entering the stream and will be dewatered as needed.
