Credit Release – Task 4 (final)

Dear Mr. Wilkerson,

On March 11, 2020, the Division of Water Resources (DWR) issued a partial release of 5% for
partial approval of the Year 1 Monitoring Report for the Bethel Branch site. Upon receiving
confirmation from Wildlands through providing transects and photos that the Adaptive
Management Plan has been fully implemented, DWR agreed to issue the remainder 5% of this
credit release. On March 13, 2020, Wildlands submitted documentation to DWR confirming the
Adaptive Management Plan had been fully implemented.

In accordance with the UMBI, signed on March 6, 2018, the following Project Milestones have
fully been met and the corresponding credits shall be released:

4) Monitoring Report #1: Approved by the DWR & financial assurance renewed 5%

By copy of this correspondence, DWR confirms that you have fully satisfied the above
requirements for the Bethel Branch site. Therefore, 5% of your Jordan Lake riparian buffer
credits (0.05 x 266,899.40 ft2 = 13,344.97 ft2) are now released.

Please note that the riparian buffer credits can only be used to offset impacts located in
the Haw River Sub Watershed of Jordan Lake according to 15A NCAC 02B .0295, which
became effective on November 1, 2015.
