We want to pump water off the top of the monofill at the Wright Chemical superfund site.
We had been instructed by NCDNER not to do so in 2017 when Shield Engineering, doing
studies for the USEPA, did some test results on that water and found some extremely high
po I I uta nts.
Since then the water on top has been diluted by rainfall to the point that the major pollutants
have been drastically reduced as shown by the attached analysis which was completed last
Friday.
But we still have pollutants above the report limit.

We would like to go ahead and discharge the water from the top of the monofill onto our
property.
The major reason is the water level is too high for the earth enclosure at the top of the
monofill.
If we don't we are fearful there may be a rupture of the monofill at some time in the near
future.
Our conundrum is we do not have the financial ability to ship water off -site.
We have been out of business for over eight years and spent what money was left on the
super fund study.
