In regards to the NPS SUP# 5700-028 issued on 8/15/17 and expires on 8/14/22, NCDOT is authorized to place dredge material via
pipeline into the spoil site or on the north terminus beach of Ocracoke to maintain 12' deep wide ferry channel. This permit also
authorizes that this spoil site can be expanded an additional .76 acres to accommodate additional dredge material if needed.
Prior to any placement of material the site shall be inspected for ME and state species of concern to ensure no nesting species are
present by NPS resource management staff.
