Inspection Summary:
Met with Troy regarding complaint from Mr. John Adams to Mr. Ted Cashion of DWR Raleigh. Photos submitted via email
were taken on 7/26/2018. Inlet Watch Yacht Club is very diligent on maintaining the requirements of the NPDES 190000
general permit. The identifiable area of concern for Inlet Watch is the self-service repair/wash racks. The racks have a lined
gravel pad under them. The gravel did not indicate any oil or bottom paint residues.
The latest sampling result were all below benchmark values for June 2018, except for Copper at 0.05 mg/L. The sample
result for 12/20/2017 was 0.045mg/L for Copper; 3/31/2017= 0.151 mg/L Cu. The results require Tier II implementation.
However, Bellhart Marine, located within Inlet Watch, has been permitted separately during 2017. Greater efforts on both
sides warrant relief of the Tier II protocols. Bellhart Marine is making efforts to isolate their power washing and painting area
from the rest of the yard.
