BR-0124: Replace Bridge 166 over West Prong Roaring River on SR 1745 (Shumate Mountain Road)
We concur with replacing the bridges with spanning structures and designing the spans to keep the bridge
bents out of the river. Brook Floaters, Federal Species of Concern and State Endangered, occur in both project
vicinities. Design Standards in Sensitive Watersheds should apply to both, as requested in our scoping
comments included in both application packages.
