Hi Stephanie,
We're following up on previous emails for this project. We are ready to issue the subject permit mod upon submitting
an update as noted below on the Slater Road P5. Do we need to include the variance language that allows temporary
flow increase at the PS to 450 gpm? Will an application to increase the capacity of the PS be forthcoming from Durham
County?
Michael has already confirmed the firm capacity of the Slater Road PS is 0.612 mgd (425 gpm).
Please provide an update on the status of the temporary increase of the Slater Road pump station as noted in the
condition below:
Condition 1.2 The Division will grant a variance for a temporary flow capacity increase (450 GPM) at the Slater Road
Pump Station upon submittal of an application and supporting documents to the Raleigh Regional Office, AND issuance
of a permit, for the DEQ approved variance dated 11121116 temporarily increasing the pump station capacity to 450
gpm. No wastewater flow shall be made tributary to the subject sanitary sewer system until the improvements have
been constructed and operational, and the engineer's certification has been received by the Division j15A NCAC 02T

Hi Stephanie and Michael,
We are reviewing the subject application. We have a couple of questions for you regarding the special condition in the
original permit for this project. The condition is as follows:
Condition 1.2 The Division will grant a variance for a temporary flow capacity increase (450 GPM) at the Slater Road
Pump Station upon submittal of an application and supporting documents to the Raleigh Regional Office, AND issuance
of a permit, for the DEQ approved variance dated 11/21/16 temporarily increasing the pump station capacity to 450
gpm. No wastewater flow shall be made tributary to the subject sanitary sewer system until the improvements have
been constructed and operational, and the engineer's certification has been received by the Division [15A NCAC 02T
.0116].
Please provide an update on the status of the temporary increase of the Slater Road pump station as noted in the
condition above.
Please confirm the current capacity of the Slater Road pump station.
