The post site visit map you provided accurately reflects potential jurisdictional features on site as seen during our site 
review on August 14, 2018.   

As discussed in the field, a permit is not required to drain the pond that is on site, however, a full growing season will 
need to occur prior to the Corps making any decisions on jurisdictional features that may have reformed within the 
newly drained pond. Until that time, the original OHWM of the pond will still be considered the limits of jurisdiction. (as 
shown on your updated delineation map)   

If the applicant would like to move forward with permitting open water impacts instead of draining the pond and 
waiting to see what reforms over the course of a year, they may do so, however, please keep in mind that any loss of 
jurisdictional waters over 0.5 acre would require an Individual permit.  AID for the project is SAW‐2018‐01551.  Please 
use this number on all future correspondence regarding this project.
