Dear Permittee:

The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Wolf Laurel WWTP on March 18,
2020. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and
limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NC0082716. A summary of the findings and comments noted
during the inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report.

The Compliance Evaluation inspection was conducted by Division of Water Resources staff from the Asheville
Regional Office. The following deficiency(s) was noted during the inspection:

Flow Measurement - Effluent This facility does not have a flow meter. The ORC is using instantaneous flow measurement
for reporting. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

This deficiency was noted during the last inspection in 2015. Because the permitted flow for this facility is less
Than 30,000 gallons/day and composite sampling is not required by the permit, I recommend requesting an
instantaneous flow requirement during the permit renewal. This permit is scheduled to expire 9/30/2020 and the
renewal application should be mailed out by 3/30/2020.
