Morehead City WWTP

Dear Mr. Clayton:
Division personnel received your request for clarification of the instream sampling requirements in
the subject permit. You expressed some uncertainty about those parameters where both effluent and
instream samples were required. Sampling should be conducted as follows:
➢ Upstream and downstream samples shall be collected three times per week from June IS,
through September 30th.
➢ Upstream and downstream samples shall be collected:once per week from October 1,t through
May 31 s,.
➢ Effluent samples for Dissolved Oxygen,Fecal Coliform and Temperature shall be collected
daily.

Subject: Issuance of NPDES Permit NCO026611,Letter dated 2/19/01.
Dear Mr. Goodrich:
Please be advised that the Town of Morehead is in the process of performing a 2001 Facilities
Plan and will evaluate the criteria addressed in the letter referenced above.
Upon review of the permit, the Town of Morehead City is in agreement with the proposed limits
and monitoring requirements with the fruposed permit yvith the following clarification or
change:
All u stream and down stream sam lin shall be done
wee y with the exception of the months of June, July,
August and September, in which the sampling shall be 3
times per week. The proposed permit indicates daily
sampling frequency for up and down stream locations.
