Shrader, President 1001 Fannin Street Houston, TX 77002 NORTH CAROLINA Environmental Quality Subject: Compliance Evaluation Inspection NPDES General Stormwater Permit NCG Certificate of Coverage NCG080836 Waste Management of Whiteville Terminal Columbus County Dear Tracey Shrader: On March 9, 2020, Brian Lambe from the Wilmington Regional Office of the Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources (DEMLR), conducted a compliance evaluation inspection for Waste Management of Whiteville Terminal located in 1890 Pine Log Road, Columbus County, North Carolina. The site drains to Pine Log Brance, which is currently classified as Class C, Sw Waters in the Cape Fear River Basin. The following observations were noted during the DEMLR inspection (please see the attached addendum for additional information about your permit): The facility appeared not to be used for industrial purposes at the time of inspection. The annual fee has not been paid. Please notify this office of the intentions of your company regarding this facility. If you intend to maintain the permit, you must develop and implement a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) and follow Qualitative and Analytical Monitoring permit requirements. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation during this inspection. Please be advised that violations of the NPDES Stormwater General Permit may be subject to a civil penalty assessment of up to $25,000.00 per day for each violation.
