Dear Christopher W. and Kristen T. McAvoy
On February 27, 2020 staff of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR), Water Quality
Regional Operations Section (WQROS), inspected the subject single-family residence surface
irrigation wastewater treatment and disposal system. The purpose of the visit was to complete a
compliance inspection. I would like to thank Agri -Waste Technology Staff for their assistance.
On the day of the inspection all single family residence wastewater treatment and application
equipment appeared to be well maintained. In late 2019, staff from Agri -Waste Technology stuck
the tanks indicating the septic tank had 6.8 inches of sludge and the pump tank had less than 3
inches of sludge. The system was operated by hand and appeared to be operating properly. The
Ultra violet unit was working, and the drip field appeared to be in good condition and operating as
designed.
