Equalization required (0.25 x 0.08) = 0.02 MGD
The facility plans to add an EQ basin of 0.05 MG and convert the existing EQ to sludge
holding.
The EQ basin is separated into 3 cells with 2 submersible 100 gpm pumps.
• Although regional office comments indicate that 50,000 gallons may be less than is
needed at peak time, this is much greater than what is required per current rules,
so this will be approved as is. Consultant provided detailed information regarding
flow fluctuations, etc.
Permittee wished ATC approved rapidly due to strict construction schedule. Needed to
perform installation when camp was shut down.
