I consulted with our district fisheries biologists, and given that you will be working in the dry and noting the issues you note below, we agree to allow you to start work on 3/16 on the Shipley site. Please pay special attention to erosion and sediment control on site. Send all suspicious email as an attachment to nc. ov Andrea, Per our phone conversation this morning — attached please find an aerial map showing the Shipley Farm location related to the mitigation site. We are requesting you allow us to begin work in March on the Shipley Farm site for the following reasons: • Livestock transport/movement, livestock exclusion fencing would be most efficiently accomplished in the summer, when we anticipate completing the project if allowed to begin mid -March. • The landowner currently has an old decrepit culvert that is going to be replaced as a result of the Farm project, that provides transport of cattle to and from multiple barns. Mr. Shipley would like this culvert replaced ASAP for the safety of his farm workers and livestock. • The earlier we are able to start, the more vegetative growth we can get established and the more stable the site is going into the fall/winter of 2020/2021. • The noted time crunch with weather often causing delays. Please consider allowing us to get started the week of March 16t" 2020 on the Shipley Farm project.
