DANIEL SMITH Director Steven Neuschafer City of Dunn PO Box 1065 Dunn, NC 28335 NORTH CAROLINA En viror men tat Quality February 04, 2020 SUBJECT: Compliance Inspection Report Dunn WWTP NPDES WW Permit No. NC0043176 Harnett County Dear Permittee: The North Carolina Division of Water Resources conducted an inspection of the Dunn WWTP on 1/27/2020. This inspection was conducted to verify that the facility is operating in compliance with the conditions and limitations specified in NPDES WW Permit No. NCOO43176. The findings and comments noted during this inspection are provided in the enclosed copy of the inspection report entitled "Compliance Inspection Report". The cooperation of Donrie Dukes, facility ORC, and Dishon Allen, back-up ORC, was greatly appreciated. There were no significant issues or findings noted during the inspection and therefore, a response to this inspection report is not required. Comments: • The facility was neat and clean during the inspection. • Sampling and laboratory records were organized and well kept. • Leaks in the air distribution system were noted during the inspection. Upgrades to the air distribution system are scheduled to begin in the near future. • During the inspection, the facility experienced a foaming event at the plant's headworks. An investigation by the facility indicated the foam likely originated from cleaning solution that was dumped into the sanitary sewer.
