Global TransPark, channels near Runway 5-23

Lenoir County
This office has reviewed the information submitted at our meeting on August 291h concerning utility construction
adjacent to a channel shown on the USGS 1:24,000 and Lenoir County soils maps near Runway 5-23. Also as you know,
conducted a field visit to the site on September 7, 2001. It was determined from this site visit that these channels which
are marked in yellow on the attached map are not subject to the Neuse River Buffer rules (15A NCAC 2B .0233) since
they are ditches rather than streams. Also based on this site visit, the stream feature for the purpose of these rules
begins at the exit from the culvert underneath Runway 5-23. This point is marked in red on the attached map.
