Avoidance and Minimization 2.13MB 924.14KB u 1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project: Fill slopes have been steepened to 2:1 in wetlands to minimize impacts. Only the smallest amount of wetland and stream impact has been permitted to construct a stable roadway and bridge. The temporary causeway was sized to provide minimal access to install the interior drilled shafts. 1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques: Measures to minimize construction of impervious dikes and temporary causeways will be determined in the field based on ebsting field conditions. Only the smallest amount of fill necessary to construct a stable roadway and bridge will be allowed during construction of this project. 2. Compensatory Mitigation for Impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State 2a. Does the project require Compensatory Mitigation for impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State? r Yes r No 2b. If this project DOES NOT require Compensatory Mitigation, explain why: Stream, wetland and riparian buffer impacts to not reach thresholds to require mitigation for this bridge replacement project. F. Stormwater Management and Diffuse Flow Plan (required by DWR) 1. Diffuse Flow Plan 1a. Does the project include or is it adjacent to protected riparian buffers identified within one of the NC Riparian Buffer Protection Rules? r Yes r No What type of SCM are you providing? r Level Spreader r Vegetated Conveyance (lower SHWT) r Wetland Swale (higher SMNT) r Other SCM that removes minimum 30 % nitrogen W Proposed project will not create concentrated stormwater flow through the buffer Diffuse Flow Documentation 910216 Stormwater Management Plan.pdf 2. Cumulative Impacts (DWR Requirement) 3a. Will this project result in additional development, which could impact nearby downstream water quality?* r Yes r No 3b. If you answered "no," provide a short narrative description. The purpose of this project is to replace a structurally deficient bridge. The roadway and bridge have been designed to allow for two way traffic with a left turning lane on the bridge deck at the intersection. The Department has recently been advised of a large proposed development (multiple homes) on the Elizabeth Anderson Beckert property. This development has not had a significant impact on the project design. 4. Sewage Disposal (DWR Requirement) 4a. Is sewage disposal required by DWR for this project?* r Yes r Nor WA 5.
