Notification for Start of Dewatering
With reference to the subject permit, this letter provides the required 7-day advanced
notification to you that the decanting of the ash basin is progressing such that plans are
to begin the dewatering phase in the near term. Upon actual commencement of
dewatering, Duke Energy staff will provide further communication such that the
monitoring requirements in Part I A. (2.) for Outfall 002 (dewatering phase) can be
activated in the Department's Basinwide Information Management System database.
