Thank you for the review of the Individual Permit Modification application (Dec. 10, 2019) for R-4463A. We are including
the following requested items with this email:
• PJD Addendum to the "original" PJD package submittal on August 23, 2019 — this addendum covers additional
area to the east of a double culvert on US 17 Business.
• Revised Buffer Drawings with calculations for mitigable impacts at Site 5B due to the roadway fill in Zones 1 and
2. Wetland acreage was subtracted out from the buffer impacts for mitigation amounts.
• Swale information/calculations for Site 5 are on the Permit Drawings (including the Stormwater Management
Plan). These drawings were updated to show buffers along Site 5.
Buffer Mitigation is Required
Ms. Beth Harmon with Division of Mitigation Services has been contacted for the mitigation of riparian buffer impacts in
Zones 1 and 2 due to roadway fill. On the Buffer Drawings -sheets 3 and 4, we have the following impacts:
Zone 1 Zone 2
Site 5B 2,264 1,906
Wetlands at Site 5B 2,221 472
Difference 43 sq. ft 1,434 sq. ft.
We are requesting Neuse River riparian buffer mitigation in HUC Unit 03020204 for Zone 1 totaling 43 sq. ft. and for
Zone 2 totaling 1,434 sq. ft. A DMS commitment letter is pending.
