Notification for Start of Dewatering
With reference to Part I B. (3.) f. of the subject permit, this letter provides the required
7-day advanced notification to you that the decanting of the ash basin is progressing
such that plans are to begin the dewatering phase in the near term. Upon actual
commencement of dewatering, Duke staff will provide further communication such that
the monitoring requirements in Part I B. (4.) for Outfall 007 (dewatering phase) can be
activiated in the Department's Basinwide Information Management System database.
