The following additional information is provided to address violation NOV-2020-DV-0073,
Incident No. 202000260. On February 6th, 2020, Marshall had a sanitary sewer overflow on Main Street
due to the French Broad River flooding event. We pinpointed several manholes covers that had been
broken or destroyed from DOT mowing which allowed an infiltration into our sanitary sewer system of
flood waters. We will be smoking testing these areas in the next couple of weeks to help pinpoint any
other infiltration problems.
