NOTICE OF DISCHARGE
OF UNTREATED WASTEWATER
On February 6 and February 7, 2020, the City of Albemarle experienced the following
sanitary sewer overflow at the following locations due to excessive amount due to heavy rain
event.
Overflow at 1313 N. 6t" Street of approximately 23,400 gallons into Melchor Branch as
an ongoing event from February 6, 2020 at 2:30pm till February 7, 2020 at 3:30pm. City crews
were able to use equipment to wash parking lot, clean up debris and removed 23,400 gallons
to help eliminate some overflow.
This notice is required by the North Carolina General Statutes Article 21 Chapter
