Dave,
I visited the U-2579C project with Lindsey Panek to see if the area referenced below was a wetland. I believe it is. The
approximate area of wetland impacted by a skim to an inch of sediment is 1000 sq ft. I still recommend leaving it in
place as the existing vegetation is pretty thick. Let me know if you have questions or need additional info.

We found an additional area outside of the project limits (and what the plans cover) that appears to be wet. The area is
immediately downstream of the Lowery Mill Creek crossing (permit site 12). I’ll review and if it’s a wetland, I’ll follow up
with an amount and approximate square footage. The current plan is to leave it in place, because removal would cause
a lot more disturbance.

Subject: U-2579C sediment loss
During the rain event on Thursday, we lost approximately 5-10 5 gallon buckets at the bridge crossing of Lowery Mill
Creek (permit site 12) on the U-2579C project. EC measures have been repaired, and the material is being removed
from the stream. Let me know if you have questions or need additional information.
