Sullins, Director Division of Water Quality On July 16, 2008, Autumn Hoban, of the Division of Water Quality, Raleigh Regional Office, performed an inspection of the subject facility. The facility was compliant with the permit requirements with the exception of sampling sheet flow outfalls in 2007. Drought conditions in this area were severe and rain events inadequate for proper sampling. The facility should in this case forward the monitoring report with an explanation of why sampling was not conducted. The observations are noted in the attached Compliance Inspection Report. All aspects of the permit requirements were complete. This site obtains consultant feedback for continous improvement of their pollution prevention program. The nature of the outfalls ( 2 are sheetflow) requires a lot of rain in order to obtain a sample and 2007 was extremely dry in this area of North Carolina. No samples were obtained in 2007. The facility is currently sampling for 2008, as this year has enough rain volume to collect samples. Sampling data reviewed from 2006 showed no water quality issues. Comment: This facility has 3 outfalls. Two sheet flow to wooded area and farm field, another flows into a stormditch by a farm field.
