The older one is NCG140297 and the newer one is NCG140331. The owner spoke to Ken Pickle about rescission of newer one (NCG140331). As far as rescission request we don't have any problems with it, however when I was looking it up in BIMS, the older permit NCG140297 (one that they want to keep) is expired, and the newer one (one that they want to rescind) is active. In case that there is a renewal application in house for permit NCG140297, than it would be OK to rescind the NCG140331, but if not you might want to see with the owner which one they want to keep. Inc. - NCG140331 Attachments: image001.jpg Sarah, I spoke to Mr. Waters, who is the owner of Roanoke-Chowan Ready Mix, Inc. in Bertie County. I explained to him that the permit NCG140297 expired on July 31, 2009 and that it would be the best for all of us if we would rescind that permit instead of NCG140331. He agreed and said that it must have been some sort of typo in rescission request letter where they requested rescission of NCG140331. Since we have two permits for same facility, we in WaRO don't have any problems with rescission of permit NCG140297. I hope this is sufficient for you to rescind the permit. If not, please let me know how can I help. A prior notice of renewal was sent for this site on December I, 2003. To date, no response has been received by the Division of Water Quality (DWQ). In order to assure your continued coverage under the general permit, you must apply to DWQ for renewal of your permit coverage. Enclosed you will find a general permit renewal application form. The application must be completed and returned by April 19, 2004 in order to assure continued coverage under the general permit. Failure to request renewal by April 9, 2004 can result in a civil assessment of at least $250.00. Larger penalties may be assessed depending on the delinquency of the request. Discharge of slormwater from your facility without coverage under a valid stortnwater NPDES permit would constitute a violation of NCGS 143-215.1 and could result in assessments of civil penalties of up to $10,000 per day.
