The water flows down that collector ditch to and then under Guinea Road (SR 1214) and then flows along the ditch beside the road into the swampland next to the road to the south. From the swamp the water flows into Roland Creek, to Tulls Bay, and finally into the Currituck Sound. It is worth noting, that the Currituck Sound in the recent past has become dramatically more saline and freshwater runoff does not impact that body of water as freshwater runoff might in other North Carolina sounds.
