This could not be readily seen due to all the sericea le-spedeza growing around the pipe. Thus, the solids were dropping in the middle of the pond rather than the start. The pipe has since been repaired. - Although the secondary pond perimeter was planted with the approved grass/lespedeza seed schedule in 2010, it seems that the lespedeza took over, and there's not enough ground cover to control run-off entering the secondary pond. - The secondary pond needs the accumulated sediment removed in the near future. ti: Hanson will continue to sample monthly for the life of the permit should there be a discharge. Following repair of the 3-inch discharge line, the water has been treated properly in the mixing chamber at the end of the discharge line, and turbidity levels appear to have fallen.
