Notification of Stormwater Turbidity Exceedance and Tier I Response
To whom it may concern:
Please find enclosed one original signed stormwater discharge monitoring report (DMR) containing a
turbidity exceedance. The stormwater sample was taken on June 13, 2019. Martin Marietta received the
sample results, containing the turbidity exceedance, on June 18, 2018. The results triggered a Tier
response for turbidity, as the sample was the first valid sample result of the period and the previous
period's sample result was below the turbidity benchmark. Due to field turbidity results, regional
environmental staff performed a site review at the time of sampling, on June 13, 2019, to identify and
evaluate possible causes of the exceedance. Implementation of actions identified during the evaluation
will be completed within one month, as required by the general permit.
