Dear Ms. Young:
Please accept this letter as our written request that Permit No. NCG020168 as issued to the
Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. Weldon Quarry be terminated.
As discussed with Mr. Myrl Nisely, Ms. Jennifer Jones, and Mr. Ken Pickle of your office during
our January 7, 2010 site inspection, development ' work on this site dates back roughly 20
years. There has been no industrial activity on this property since this initial development and
none projected going further as we've agreed wl the county to not mine at this site with the
zoning approval of the nearby Weldon Quarry #2 site through the Conditional Use Permit
approved April 17, 2002.
