The stormwater sample was taken on December 14, 2018. Martin Marietta received the sample results, containing the turbidity exceedance, via email December 25, 2018. Environmental staff did not return to work until January 2, 2018, so the notification was in effect delayed until this time. The results triggered a Tier I responses for turbidity and total suspended, as these are the first valid sample results of the period and the previous period's sample results were below the benchmarks. On January 4, 2019, regional environmental staff performed a site review with site staff to identify and evaluate possible causes of the exceedance. Implementation of actions identified during the evaluation is underway.
