Enclosed is a Benchmark Exceedance Discharge Monitoring Report for exceedance of the TSS benchmark
under Stormwater General Permit NCG02. The exceedance is from SDO-6 at our Moncure Quarry. The sample was
collected on Februaryl9, 2018, and the results were received from ENCO Labs on February 27, 2018. We believe
that this exceedance was caused by the extremely close proximity of current overburden stripping activities which
have advanced right up to the inlet of the temporary skimmer basin. This basin will soon be obsolete and is expected
to be removed in the next two months. However, under the requirements of the Stormwater General Permit, we have
initiated a Tier One response for this SDO, and work is underway to make improvements to the BMPs that affect the
discharge of this outfall until it is removed. Please feel free to contact me at [phone] if you have any
